'Michael' barred from 'Musical/Comedy' category at Golden Globes

The Michael Jackson biopic 'Michael', starring Jaafar Jackson, has been denied classification in the musical/comedy category. The film's use of music reportedly did not meet the eligibility criteria set by the awards committee. Previous biopics, such as 'Ray' and 'Walk the Line', were accepted as musicals before the rules changed. Lionsgate, the studio behind the film, is considering an appeal against this decision.
